Virginia Brown Murphy

Virginia is a charter member of the Creative Motion Alliance and served as its first president.  She received her M.A.Ed from Union University in Jackson, Tennessee, and a B.A. degree from Siena College in Memphis.  She holds Level II Creative Motion certification, MTNA national certification, and ECMMA Level II certification.  She has received Level I Orff training as well as training in Kindermusik and Musikgarten curricula.  She was the visiting artist at the National Civil Rights Museum Summer Camp in 1999 and was the Greater Memphis Music Teachers Association Teacher of the Year in 2006.  She is the music specialist at Lamplighter Montessori School in Cordova, Tennessee.  She also maintains a private piano studio.  Virginia first attended Windswept Music Workshop in 1980.  She has taught the Advanced Creative Motion Class and co-taught the Student Extensions Class.
