Raychl Smith Woodward
Raychl Smith Woodward is a PhD student and graduate assistant in music education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She teaches undergraduate courses in Woodwind Techniques and supervises university student teachers. Before returning to UNCG for graduate studies, Raychl taught in the public schools of North Carolina as an elementary general music teacher, choral director, and middle and high school band director. While teaching in Concord, North Carolina, she was voted Teacher of the Year at Weddington Hills Elementary School. Raychl is an alumnus of the North Carolina Teaching Fellows program at Appalachian State University, and a member of the Creative Motion Alliance executive board of directors. Her main research area of interest is in the use of Creative Motion in the elementary general music classroom.
