Dr. Robert C. Smith
Dr. Smith received his D.M.A. from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary; his M.S. from Juilliard School of Music; and his B.M. from the University of Louisville. He is Chairman of the Piano Department at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. A frequent recitalist with his wife Lynda Poston-Smith, soprano, he delivered one of the lectures for the 1981 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. He has been involved in Creative Motion work since 1956.

| A Charter member and Lifetime member of the Creative Motion Alliance, Bob Smith has served the membership in a variety of ways. He has fulfilled several terms on the Executive Board both as Faculty Liaison and as Second Vice-President in charge of mini-workshops. He was instrumental in beginning mass-marketing efforts. At Windswept, he has taught Applied Creative Motion with a piano literature emphasis, and is a trusted advisor in Creative Motion pedagogical matters. In 2005, he was the first person to complete the requirements for Level III certification, and was awarded that distinction at the awards ceremony during the Windswept closing brunch. |
