Windswept 2008 Success!

Deep Harmony was explored by all who attended the 58th Annual Creative Motion Alliance Summer Conference - The Windswept Music Workshop. For more details, read the committee's report here.

2008 workshop supported the formation of several assistants to the director and treasurer to ensure that workshop ran smoothly. It is with great appreciation that the planning committee thanks and recognizes these individuals which included executive board officers: Karen Gossett - treasurer, Mary Ann Fritz - president, Phyllis Pasley - First Vice-President, and Dr. Jane Fritz - faculty liaison. Other helpers included - Robin Hall - hospitality; Chris McKinney - volunteer coordination; Leah Bagwell - assistant to the treasurer; Becky Shafer - auction chair, Tom Pasley - videographer and countless others who helped in the auction room, and to prepare for treasurer checkout. Future plans include seeking a workbook editor and marketing liaison as well and compensating all assistants with a $50 reduction in workshop fees. Special thanks to the members of the planning committee for 2008 for a job well done!
Directors of Workshop named for 2009 and 2010
We are pleased to report that Phyllis Pasley will serve as director of workshop for 2009 and will be shadowed by the director for 2010, Christie Tompkins. "We are really working hard to separate the duties of director of workshop from the duties of the First Vice-president to make these labor-intensive jobs a bit more manageable," said Pasley. "Christie will be working with me closely throughout the preparations for 2009 to help prepare her for the tasks ahead, as well as construct a support system of assistants - for future directors of workshop."

If you are interested in serving in a supporting or leadership role in the future, please contact our First Vice-President.
