Level I certification permits applicants to advertise themselves as Creative Motion instructors (e.g. business cards, stationery, brochures, etc.).

The applicant is required to:

1. Attend twenty workshop days in a five-year period. This must include three annual Windswept Music Workshop sessions, two of them in succession, and may include the session in progress at the time of application.

Full-time attendance at the annual Windswept Music Workshop session equals five days of credit. A maximum of five workshop days can be accumulated at other Creative Motion Alliance sponsored workshops.

2. Submit an application for Basic Certification, including a written personal statement describing his/her experience with Creative Motion and his/her understanding of its concepts. (See Appendix A.)

After submission of the personal statement, an interview will be scheduled for the applicant with members of the Certification Committee. At the time of the interview, the applicant will be asked for a short demonstration on how to lead others in achieving the light-weight body.

The applicant will be asked to demonstrate how Creative Motion concepts relate to his/her field of expertise. If this demonstration should involve a group or class situation such as choir, school music, etc., a video, audio cassette or CD may be submitted.

If the Certification Class is offered during the current Windswept Music Workshop session, the applicant is required to attend.

3. Pay the certification fee at the time of application.

4. Maintain Membership in the Creative Motion Alliance, Inc. by paying the annual dues.

Basic Certification is valid for five years. At the end of every fifth year a completed Application for Renewal form must be submitted to the Certification Committee. (See Appendix B.)

Renewal of Certification for Level I:

During the five year certification period, applicants are required to:

Attend a minimum of one annual Windswept Music Workshop session or two Alliance sponsored mini-workshops. The attendance requirement may include the session in progress at the time of renewal application.

Submit an application for Renewal of Level I Basic Certification.

Pay the certification fee at the time of renewal application.

Maintain membership in the Creative Motion Alliance, Inc., by paying annual dues.

Upon expiration of the five-year period, a completed Renewal of Certification form must be submitted to the Certification Committee. (See Appendix B.)
