Creative Motion
2nd edition NOW AVAILABLE
from our online bookstore!

The CM2 - No, it's not a luxury ocean liner like the QE2, it is the latest project of our publications committee!   As word has gotten out about Creative Motion, more and more people have purchased Creative Motion, our primary text for exploring Creative Motion principles.  Co-authored by Margaret Allen (founder of Windswept Music Workshop) and Anne Niles, Creative Motion contains discussion and illustrations of key concepts, as well as exercises for personal use.  With our stock of the original ediiton of this book in rather short supply, the time has come for the Creative Motion Alliance, Inc. to re-publish Creative Motion.  This new edition has been lovingly edited by Dr. Mary Ann Fritz and include among other things, an index, articles and comments by leading teachers of Creative Motion. For more information, or If you would like to contribute towards the publication of this new second edition, please contact Dr. Mary Ann Fritz at publications@creativemotion.org

Posters for Inspiration and Creative Motion Teaching - posted July, 2010

Dr. Mary Ann Fritz and Frank A. Heller, III have been hard at work for approximately two years with St. Louis artist Laura Hellebusch to create a series of posters for teachers to use in helping their students learn more about Creative Motion principles. At Windswept 2009, three posters were unveiled and made available for sale. {pictured here}

Inspired, in part, by a series of hand-drawn posters drawn by workshop participants over several years, Laura decided to accept the challenge of putting Creative Motion concepts into graphic form. Some of the designs are strongly reminiscent of the the original posters, while others are inspired by others. The beautifully flowing artwork which rests behind the quote from Martha Russell, was painted by Dr. Fritz, and the digitally incoporated by Laura Hellebusch. These first results are very satisfying, and we are pleased to learn that more posters are in development.

"We've never met in person," said Dr. Fritz. Over time, and with patience, they have found a way of working together on these projects. Now, all those involved in Creative Motion study can benefit!

These posters are now available in our online bookstore.
