ARRIVAL/DEPARTURES - Many people find the following information helpful as they make their travel plans.

ARRIVAL - - The workshop check-in and registration will be held on Sunday at 3pm-5pm. Many workshop participants choose to arrive on Saturday and may do so for a nominal fee. Be advised, those who arrive early will be responsible for their own meals. The first workshop included meal begins at 5:45pm on Sunday evening just after the get-acquainted session and tour with our first-time participants at 5:15pm.
DEPARTURE - - The closing ceremony will conclude between 10:30 and 11:00am on Saturday morning. Some people choose to stay through Saturday night and depart on Sunday morning. They may do so for a nominal fee. Be advised, those who stay late are responsible for their own meals after breakfast on Saturday morning. (Note: The 2009 planning committee meeting will be a held at breakfast on Saturday morning.)

WHAT's NEW?
Our overall theme of the week will be DEEP HARMONY. The inspiration for this theme, in part, is a special seminar exploring harmony led be John Morrison. We'll be continuing the multi-age Applied Creative Motion Classes this year, while moving those classes to the afternoon. Also - we are trying a new innovation in focus our work in both Adult Foundations and Adult Advanced Creative Motion with an emphasis on Creative Motion exercises. We've invited several staff members with deep roots in Creative Motion to alternate between the two classes and bring their special expertise in this area. We are continuing Student Expressive Arts classes and also instituting Adult Expressive Arts classes for four days this year, as well as a new track for Applied Creative Motion in Independent Studies. We are encouraging dancers, painters, photographers, and others whose learning needs are not met in the applied voice, piano or instrumental literature classes to select the Independent Studies option. We're extending Bach Chorales to 20 minutes this year, we're adding an extra session of Choir on Sunday night, and we'll make choral music in use during the conference available for sale. Our Friday night party theme is "Guess the Movie Titles." We're changing the procedure for check-out with our treasurer, it will be scheduled for 7:00-9:00am on Saturday morning. Be thinking about what you will be able to donate to our annual silent auction this year which will run from Monday through Thursday evening.

More details about the upcoming workshop will appear here, so check back soon. In the meantime, save the date, tell a friend and plan to join us for Windswept 2008!
