The Windswept Music Conference
Workshop veterans have compiled the following list to help you know what to bring with you to have a successful conference experience. Contact the director with your additional questions.
MUSIC:
Any
performance or repertoire music you plan to perform or analyze
If you have a copy - 25 Bach Chorales (set I) E.C. Shirmer
Although not required, some people really enjoy bringing an ipod or CD player to enjoy recorded music in their sleeping rooms.
BOOKS:

PERSONAL ITEMS:
Casual summer clothes
Personal toiletries
Bathrobe (showers are sometimes down the hall)
Swimsuit
Rain gear and umbrella
Tennis shoes or comfortable walking shoes
Alarm clock
A little money to spend at the annual
Windswept SILENT AUCTION.
Although linens (including sheets, pillow one blanket and 1 or
2 (small) towels and 1 washcloth are provided by the college,
veteran workshoppers often bring additional towels and washcloths. BOTH SHEETS you will receive at check in - are flat - not fitted. Veteran workshoppers often bring a fitted sheet from home. Married couples in attendance also sometimes bring king-size linen from home for sleeping comfort.
OTHER ITEMS:
Items to donate for the Annual Silent Auction.
Change for vending machines or pay phones.
STUDENTS: (age 12 through High school) in addition to the items listed above
- Bring your signed and notarized EMERGENCY CONSENT
FORM to registration. You
CANNOT register without this form.
- Bring your signed copy of the Windswept STATEMENT of RULES to registration
(Both of these forms are included within your registration packet
which is mailed to your home in June/July.)
- Bring your music to perform within the Student Applied
class.
- Bring black clothing (pants/leggings and black shirt/blouse) and brightly colored scarfs or belts for the Student-Led Celebration - Friday Evening
- Bring spending money for the Silent Auction or the Campus Bookshore.
Other helpful bits of information:
William Jewell College has swimming tennis and sand volleyball
faciliteis available to workshoppers
Laundry facilities are available in the dorm
All buildings we are using are air-conditioned
